Electronic Beauty Devices

As “old school” as I like to be with certain things, when it comes to beauty related stuff, it’s not a bad thing to want to upgrade one’s routine with some cool new gadgets, no? One key piece of advice that I have been told and will always recommend is to not overdo it with use of these devices, good as it may feel, because this can cause unwanted results/reactions in addition to having adverse effects. So it’s always important to always use them exactly as recommended and not more than stated, and this is as much a reminder to myself as it is you haha!

  1. Smooth & Silky Facial Pen Trimmer by Remington- This is number 1 because, personally, I cannot live without this tool! As someone who suffers from ingrown hairs and irritation(mostly due to my Indian genes and the super thick hair that comes with it), shaving or plucking is not an option. This is where the pen trimmer comes in handy! I can do my own brows and get rid of that pesky mustache with zero pain during or after, and it gets super close so there’s no stubble either! Yeah, I do end up having to do my brows once a week, and I also have to be suuuuuper careful not to sneeze while doing it, but the pros of using this tool far outweigh the cons, especially since I can do my brows wherever and whenever I need to. I haven’t waxed, threaded, or plucked my brows in almost 15 years thanks to this baby, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Smooth & Silky Facial Pen Trimmer $12.99 is available at www.remingtonproducts.com
  2. Pro Facial Steamer by Dr. Dennis Gross- An absolute must have to bring the spa experience into your home, this facial steamer is ideal for all skin types and ages, and especially essential for those with enlarged pores and dehydrated skin. With micro steam technology that infuses your skin with much needed moisture, this tool also helps to clarify the skin as well as purify. If you’re used to doing facials at home, you HAVE to start with this baby. It soothes and softens the skin, and also helps accelerate the absorption and effectiveness of any products you put on after it. This self care must have is just what you need at the end of a long work week, and you’ll notice both instant results as well as long term glow thanks to this steamer! Pro Facial Steamer $149 is available at www.drdennisgross.com
  3. Personal Microderm Classic by PMD Beauty- Now I’m sure you have seen the ads for this nifty tool all over social media, as I have, and kept scrolling(also, as I have haha!), but I’m here to tell you that I recently tried this tool out and I see what all the fuss is about. While not as effective as I had hoped for myself(due to the fact that I exfoliate my face twice a week with Sexapeel by Sonia Roselli and have an extensive and full skincare regimen), I did notice this device took off a little bit of the dead skin that had built up on my face. With regular weekly use, I can see this tool changing the skin of those who do not exfoliate regular or have problematic skin. It’s easy to use and clean, and has plenty of options for both the face AND the body, which I do like a lot since I take better care of my face than I do my body when it comes to beauty treatments. Personal Microderm Classic $159 is available at www.pmdbeauty.com
