Masks That You Need To Try ASAP!

Face masks are more popular than ever, and with good reason! At home spa sessions are becoming the norm, and there’s nothing better than being able to pamper yourself in the comfort of your own space. With the popularity of clay and sheet masks on the rise, it may be tricky to know where to start. There are so many different types that target different concerns, and many brands that produce them, but these are my all time favorites.

  • Mask: Rosa Damascena Biocellulose Peel Mask
  • Brand: Midflower
  • Type: Sheet Mask
  • Skin Type: Universal

This gel-like mask hugs every inch of your face like a DREAM! With 100% Rose Damascena Flower Water, this whopping 60 minute(that's right: a full hour!) treatment mask has concentrated hydrating properties and rejuvenates like none other. Pore minimizing, anti-wrinkle, and smoothing...this unique sheet mask delivers it all. No chemical additives or preservatives make this product ideal for soothing irritated or sensitive skin, and you can even use this before makeup application, though I would recommend using this before bed. • Mask: Tea Tree Skin Clearing Clay Mask
  • Brand: The Body Shop
  • Type: Clay Mask
  • Skin Type: Acne Prone

This mask is an essential for anyone with acne prone skin. Meant to cleanse, cool and refresh your skin without over drying, this mask helps clear impurities and control excess oil production. I use this regularly to keep any new breakouts from forming, but also lay it on real thick overnight in the spots I do end up getting those pesky, hormonal, deep under the skin ones to help heal and reduce the inflammation...and it works wonders! Good to use about twice a week before bed, this mask will help you maintain clear skin without any irritations, and will fast become a staple in your skincare routine. For best results, I use this after exfoliating so it can really get in there and do it’s magic! Tea Tree Skin Clearing Clay Mask($17) is available at www.thebodyshop.com

  • Mask: Hydro Cool Brightening Face Mask
  • Brand: Skyn Iceland
  • Type: Sheet Mask
  • Skin Type: Uneven Tone

I discovered this brand when I first started doing makeup over a decade ago, and have never stopped loving their products! With energizing tourmaline extract, this intensive weekly mask helps restore vibrancy to dull, lackluster skin, and helps with any fine lines and wrinkles too. Free of any harsh chemicals, fragrance, parabens, and dye, this sheet mask is great for the most sensitive of skin types. Packed with antioxidants and clarifying extracts like Centella Asiatica, this mask is one I love using before makeup application, as it makes everything go over it so smoothly and seamlessly. It also contains pollution free Icelandic Glacial Water and is 100% vegan. Hydro Cool Brightening Face Mask($14) is available at www.skyniceland.com

  • Mask: Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Mask
  • Brand: Glow Recipe
  • Type: Sleeping Mask
  • Skin Type: Dry to Normal
While this mask looks as creamy as a perfectly ripe avocado, I strongly suggest fighting the urge to give it a taste! The PHA(which provides light exfoliation while you sleep) may not be so tasty, even with the avocado mixed in there! It also has encapsulated retinol, which basically means it allows it to sit on the surface longer while releasing smaller amounts into your skin at a time, making it a more gentle option than traditional retinol treatments. This sleeping mask is a fantastic finishing touch to any skincare routine, and is a rich cream that helps nourish and calm skin. It also helps with controlling blemishes, and has anti-aging properties that work to help rejuvenate your skin while you sleep.
