When it comes to removing our makeup, we need to ensure it’s done properly. There are a few ways to go about it but the method you select matters. Ditch the wipes
Makeup removing wipes don’t work as well as we all want them too. The biggest problem with these products is that they tend to push the makeup around on your skin rather than lifting it completely. The towelette form of these wipes also create a lot of waste, and despite feeling soft, can irritate your skin if you are forced to rub too much on stubborn spots. Remember that oil-based makeups, or makeups designed to be waterproof and long-wearing are best removed with a makeup remover oil based solution. Lighter makeup, like powders and non-waterproof products are well suited for removal with your usual facial cleanser and water. Avoid makeup removing wipes when you can as they are less effective and not environmentally friendly.
