I used to be a strip lash all day every day kinda gal, but with three cats that I happen to be allergic to, this can be a challenging thing to do as regularly as I used to when I was younger(and they were smaller!). I didn’t want to start down the road of having to regularly get extensions, so my husband actually suggested a lash serum for an easy fix, and I decided to do some research on which one would be ideal.
One important thing I discovered is that no lash serum actually makes them grow longer, so to speak. What lash serums do is prevent your lashes from falling out as they would normally do, so your lashes continue to grow and appear longer and fuller. Another fact that should be noted is quite a lot of the serums contain harmful ingredients that you want to watch out for, so it’s always important to do your due diligence when it comes to researching the formulas...especially since it’s something you’d be putting on your delicate eye area.
My favorite lash serum that I use is the one called GrandeLASH-MD by Grande Cosmetics, and I’ll tell you why! This award winning lash serum is ophthalmologist tested and cruelty free, and really works! Infused with a blend of peptides, vitamins and amino acids, this serum helps promote the appearance of naturally fuller and longer lashes in as little as 4 weeks, though I myself noticed a difference in about 3 weeks of consistent use. It’s so effective that I actually had to cut back on using the serum because my lashes started to hit my glasses!
The way you want to use it is once a day and you just want to swipe it on your upper lash line pretty much the same way that you would put on eyeliner. With daily use, you’ll notice the change in your lashes, but once you get them to the desired length you want, you can switch to using it every other day to maintain them. It’s also important to remember not to put them on the actual lashes, as well as refrain from putting them along the lower lashline. And of course, be careful not to get any of it in your eyes...it burns as much as mascara in your eye!
Now that I’ve been using it for about a year now, everyone always comments on my lashes and asks which pair I’m using at the moment, and It feels so great fluttering my lashes and simply letting them know that it’s just mascara!
GrandeLASH-MD starts at $65 and is available at www.grandecosmetics.com + free shipping!
